Keep the submissions coming! Week 10 saw some really great entries as well as some anglers who appeared VERY happy to land a Sea Robin! After all, whats better than catching the most glorious fish in the sea, the Sea Robin? Frank Caparelli topped the leaderboard with a 20" Megalodon-sized Searobin! Thanks to Frank's use of advanced measurement technology and image processing techniques, he was able to extract the true length of his catch! Cheers to Frank! New Jersey and New York maintained the most submissions, but Connecticut also saw its first Searobin entry submitted by Dominic Piccirillo. This week we lost one of our own. A good friend of mine, and fellow Searobin enthusiast, Clayton Pace passed away on Saturday May 12. Clayton played a major part in promoting the the love and passion for searobin, and was the inspiration for the Searobin Showdown. In honor of Clayton's memory, let us show the world how truly magnificent the sea robin really is. The action really started to pick up in week 3! With the opening of Summer Flounder season, more folks were out on the water, getting their lines wet. The Sea Robin bite is pleasing Showdown Anglers, as some excellent specimens were submitted to the Searobin Showdown! With the growing number of entries on the board, the competition is Heating Up for our first set of Monthly Prizes! The Self-Proclaimed "Sea Robin King" Brenden Rutigliano is holding his own with 2 submissions this week. Can he keep the momentum in Week 4? Or will another angler claim stake to the title?
